(1) INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS

 Position Summary

We need motivated Installation Technicians with positive work attitude who want to make a difference. The Installation Technicians will manage all our solar installation activities within the State of Maryland. These Installation Technicians will be responsible for ensuring that our products are installed properly and on-time.

Responsibilities:

  • The installer will be responsible for both roof- and ground- mount solar arrays and electrical systems for Residential and Non-Residential systems.
  • Maintain a high quality of installation.
  • Service the solar pv system as needed.
  • Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and Solar Resources’ standards

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of solar installation, construction and/or roofing
  • Ability to work well with others that are on your team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude
  • Ability to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends;
  • Other actions and assignments as appropriate.

Required Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of solar installation, construction and/or roofing

DESIRED SKILLS

  • NABCEP or UL Certified PV Installer Certification is desired not required
  • 10 Hour OSHA Safety course certification
  • Able to perform required electrical calculations and knowledge of 2011 NEC specs.

(2) SOLAR SALES CONSULTANTS

Summary We are looking for dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic team players to join our sales team. Our Solar Consultants must have a positive mental attitude when meeting with potential customers to help them go solar. Our consultants will meet with clients in their homes or offices to discuss solar feasibility and potential financing options. Successful Consultants are highly confident, self-starting, have a strong work ethic with a passion for green energy. This is a great position for a results oriented individual who is likable, influential, and trustworthy. Follow-up skills, earning customer referrals, extreme self-motivation and the willingness to learn about and become an expert in the solar industry are the key components to success in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. The candidate will:

  • Close deals and develop a list of contacts
  • Amazing attention to user requirements
  • Deliver professional sales presentations
  • Follow-up post-installation to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals
  • Be punctual to all appointments and meetings
  • Be abreast of the dynamics in the industry. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participate in our partner trainings , etc.;
  • Have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently;
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
  • Have high sales aptitude with the ability to close business

Requirements. The candidate must:

  • Be self-motivated and willing to take initiative;
  • Have a passion for solar renewable energy
  • Possess strong sales acumen;
  • Have superior oral communication, mental strength, and customer service skills to inspire customer confidence;
  • Be Organized and Systematic;
  • Be Optimistic and Enthusiastic
  • Be able to close business and maintain a positive relationship with his clients;
  • Be able to work independently, stay cool under pressure and deliver under a deadline;
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record;
  • Have his/her own reliable transportation both for sales appointments and office meetings;
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office;
  • Pass a background check

Education, Experience and Aptitude. The candidate is preferred to have:

  • Sales experience
  • Coachable, able to learn & execute sales process using a step selling process;
  • Be willing to learn about building construction and electrical systems;
  • Be willing to learn about the various solar financing options, be responsible for explaining options to clients and assisting them in selecting the best option for their situation and product choice;
  • Have experience with or have the ability to quickly learn CRM tracking;
  • Have the ability to understand and explain a financial product;
  • Have a demonstrated interest in renewable energy;
